Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy
Applied behavior analysis (ABA) is an evidence-based practice used to reduce/eliminate maladaptive behaviors and facilitate the acquisition of new skills. ABA therapy teaches children by breaking down complex tasks into small instructional steps. These small steps build on each other toward mastering complex goals such as social skills and functional communication. ALOS therapy programs are based on the principle of ABA.
Children affected by ASD and other neurodevelopmental disorders often require ABA-based procedures such as reinforcement, prompting, and shaping to successfully achieve their goals. ABA therapy has been proved to be effective to improve different areas of functioning such as communication, social skills, daily living skills, academic skills, and motor skills. Every child at ALOS has a customized treatment program tailored to meet his or her needs.
At ALOS, children who participate in our ABA program is treated by our multidisciplinary team including Psychologists, Dieticians, Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), Board-Certified Assistant Behavior Analysts (BCaBA), and well-trained Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs). One-on-one ABA therapy can be delivered at our center, home, and/or school.
